I had dreamed of trekking in Bhutan for years, and the Jomolhari Trek completely fulfilled that dream. The trek is moderately challenging, especially when crossing high passes like Nyile La (4,890m), but I felt incredibly supported by the amazing crew. What stood out to me was the warmth of the Bhutanese people we met along the way — yak herders, monks, and villagers who welcomed us with open hearts. The trail was clean, the camps were well-managed, and the views were unlike anything I’ve seen before. If you’re a solo female traveler looking for safe yet adventurous trekking, this route is absolutely perfect.
