As a photographer, I was drawn to the Jomolhari Trek for its visual appeal — and it didn’t disappoint. Every bend of the trail revealed snow-capped giants, glacial rivers, yaks grazing in open meadows, and vibrant prayer flags fluttering in the wind. Sunrise at Jangothang Base Camp was a dream, with golden light spilling over Mount Jomolhari. I captured some of my best Himalayan shots here. The lack of crowds meant I could focus on slow, intentional shooting without distractions. Bhutan’s landscapes have a mystical, untouched quality that’s hard to find elsewhere. For landscape and travel photographers, this trek is an absolute gem.
