"Visiting Bhutan in May was a floral dream! Rhododendrons blanketed the Dochula Pass, and our hike to Tiger’s Nest was cool and misty—perfect for photography. Our guide, Karma, shared stories of Guru Rinpoche while we explored Punakha Dzong’s gold-and-crimson courtyards. I loved the homestay in Punakha: we cooked ema datshi (chili cheese stew) with a local family. Pro tip: Pack layers—mornings were chilly (10°C), but afternoons warmed up fast. Only downside? Pre-monsoon showers cut our Thimphu market time short. Still, waking to prayer flags fluttering against emerald valleys? Pure magic.
