As a practicing Buddhist, attending the Paro Tsechu was a spiritually uplifting experience. The sacred dances performed by monks weren’t just performances — they were moving meditations and teachings in motion. The Guru Rinpoche dances, in particular, were deeply symbolic and filled with blessings. I was also fortunate to be present during the Thongdrel unveiling, which brought tears to my eyes. Just seeing the collective faith of the Bhutanese people — their humility, devotion, and joy — reaffirmed my own practice. This wasn’t just a festival for me; it was a pilgrimage of faith and renewal. Bhutan is truly a land where Buddhism is lived, not just practiced.
