The Laya Gasa Trek offered me some of the most stunning Himalayan landscapes I’ve ever photographed. The sheer diversity — from towering peaks and misty woodlands to ancient monasteries and remote villages — was extraordinary. Sunrise near Lingshi Dzong was a standout moment, casting golden light on snow-covered cliffs. The ethnic Layap culture was also fascinating to capture. I particularly appreciated how our trekking crew respected local customs and ensured we left no trace. Bhutan’s untouched beauty really shines on this trek, and I walked away with not just great photos but a deeper appreciation for this hidden Himalayan kingdom. For photographers or nature lovers, this trek is a treasure trove.
