Attending the Ura Yakchoe was a spiritually enriching experience for both of us. We had heard that this festival had great religious significance, and seeing the locals’ devotion confirmed that. The Cham dances, especially the ones portraying protector deities, were performed with such grace and meaning. What touched us most was the humility and devotion of the villagers, many of whom had walked hours to be part of the festival. When the sacred relic was revealed, people lined up with folded hands, silent and full of reverence. For senior travelers and Buddhist devotees, Ura Yakchoe offers a deep spiritual experience far from tourist crowds.
